Cat5e, Cat6,Cat6a/10E, Cat7

We can supply a complete range of cable from Cat 5e, through to Cat 7.  Cables are graded on their speed of transmission, bandwidth and crosstalk.

Cat 5e is still the most commonly installed type of cable although the industry is moving more toward Cat 6.

Current applications running at 1 Gb/s are pushing the limits of Cat 5e cabling. As streaming media applications such as video and multi-media become commonplace, the demands for faster data rates will increase and new faster apllications will benefit from the higher bandwidth offered by category 6.

The general difference between category 5e and category 6 is in the transmission performance, and extension of the available bandwidth from 100 MHz for category 5e to 200 MHz for category 6.

There is an arguement that says you should always install the highest specification cable available at that point, as cable is normally run in reasonably inaccessible areas and to replace it is very difficult.  We can supply and install Cat 6a/10G and Cat 7 but at the present time these installations are few and far between.

All our cable installations carry a 25 year manufacturer backed warranty against the cable failing.

We will always advise you on the best cable available to suit your needs and your budget, and it will be installed to the highest possblie standards.
