This longstanding client recently relocated their business to new offices and asked us to instal a Cat5e data and voice infrastructure, together with comms room equipment, termination and patching-in.
A travel industry business, the client’s sales teams were completely dependent on their IT and communication systems for sales lead generation.
The majority of the infrastructure was installed at the new premises many weeks prior to the move, thus allowing any problems to be resolved well in advance. One such problem which had not been foreseen was the requirement to run the data cables between floors, due to the expansion of the client’s business.
Unfortunately, the floors were made of re-enforced concrete and we therefore needed diamond tipped drills to create an adequate duct for the cables to pass through.
The client traded right up until Saturday afternoon immediately before the move, and resumed trading at their new premises on the following Monday morning.
